Wait! I hear another phone call comming in.
"Hello, this is John Sweeney, President of the AFLCIO."
"Hi, John, this is your old buddy Tom Ridge. How you doing? Hows the wife and family? Listen, the reason I'm calling is that the president wants to ask you again for support of the Union, What ya say, old pal?"
Sweeney "No way in hell, and you can tell the President that."
Ridge "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, he will be very disappointed. But I'll let him know.
Oh, before I go, one more minor thing that I called about. This is totally unrelated to the Union's support of the president. No relation at all. Do you remember that flight that you took last week to Vegas for the convention? Well, you know how you are coded "green" so that your travel is made easy? Well (and this is gonna make you die laughing) remember when you gave the ticket agent your information this time. Well, some how between the ticket agent's desk and Jim Loy's desk at TSA there was a clerical error. No big thing really, but you somehow got recoded accidently to "red". Haha, I knew you'd love it. Don't worry though. I'm sure we can get this straightened out. Just write a letter to TSA telling them why you need this corrected. Ask them for the reasons that it was changed. They probably can get it corrected "really soon". Of course, you might be able to call Jim Loy personally. He might be able to help you. Of course without your Union's support for the President we will be pretty busy up until election time and won't be able to get around to taking care of your problem until after elections. And if your Union doesn't see its way clear to support us we might not get reelected. Don't know what might happen after that."
Sweeney "No, wait, please, you guys probably misunderstood our stance on supporting the president, I will recommend that we do."
Ridge "Oh, I thought that this was just a misunderstanding. Say, tell you what I'll do. I'll personally get this code thing cleared up for you. I'll begin today. Probably take a couple days. I'll probably even read in the paper that your Union has pledged support before I get finished clearing it up, right?"
Well see you later old buddy, knew we could count on you."
