I can't say for sure that it was the outage, but I kept the key in my backpack all day and the only things it was near were my corporate badge, keys and headphones. And it worked Saturday and Sunday with being it that same pocket all day, so I'm inclined to think it was! But I agree, I would hate to have a toilet or faucet not work because of some sort of technology error.
