The earlier flight - AA45 appears to have about 15-20 unassigned seats so thinking may be a better bet.

If I ring for a same day change - will they charge a change fee because my ticket is not a full Y (it's discount economy)? Will the date of request of my SWU for the first flight be recognized after a flight change or will the request become "new"?
