...in fairness...
The impression when I joined was that helicopter transfers were part & parcel of the whole Jetsmarter membership and that our "locked-in" membership price was inclusive of these as well as unlimited shuttle flights.
Its bull**** that they will start to charge an extra fee for transcon shuttle flights (unknown when and how much) as well as adding a fee for heli transport from a crappy little regional airport into Manhattan when that was the selling point for me in the first place. Uh...no.
I'll not renew.
It'll be back to DeltaOne and JetBlue Mint. I'll max-out my membership as much as is convenient. If it weren't for hawk-eyed friends I'd be unaware that cancelling within 24 hours would cost me $4990 now rather than $1000 previously, and cancelling a flight outside of the 24 hour window cost me $100 just 3 weeks ago, but now costs $250? If a major carrier pulled this crap there would be pitchforks and bonfires.
Is $149 worth it for a chopper ride, hell yes, do I think it should still be included, hell yes, it was sold to me that way. I have a gym membership that I got 25 years ago, it renews every year at $89/year. Does a new membership cost 5 times that? Yes. Have they changed the conditions of the membership even though the company has been sold twice? No.
