It's a respect thing for me. If you're running late, it's your fault, not mine. If there is a line, get there early so the line doesn't matter. When did we as people start to believe that everything revolves around us? Are we that conceited? That we think we control everything. That we have to have it our way everytime. I'm not taking up for the TSA anymore, I've gone to part time, to keep myself in the government loop, so to speak, but I have been given a job training local law enforcement and womens self defense. Everyone has an opinion and I've come to understand that. Whether that opinion is agreeable with mine, I could care less. But, I do think we as a society need to take a step back and look at where we are at and where we are heading. It seems like no one is getting through life now with happiness. We are getting by through complaints. I had an interesting experience the other day, I was working one of our curbside stations, and this woman came out and seen my uniform and just started cursing because she was upset with TSA, so I stood there and let her vent, and nodded and smiled, and she kept getting more and more angry when I failed to argue back with her. Eventually she threw up her hands and went back inside the airport in disgust. About 10 minutes later I was on my lunch break, and she happened to walk inside the cafe and seen me eating and sat down and apologized. I didn't expect an apology, but I accepted and we talked for a minute and she went on her way in a better mood. I just think we should take a look at what we complain and argue about. What do we get out of complaining? We don't feel better, we aren't happier, so why do it? Because we've come to a point where if we don't get things our way, then it's not right or fair...it needs to change.
