Even if screening goes back to the privates TSA will be regulating them. The biggest problem with privates is they do know who feeds them, the airlines that have the contract. Airlines could care less about passenger safety after you paid for the flight. In the past airlines have told the private companies to look the other way and on the morning of September 11th 2001 that is exactly what happen.
Times have changed. The complainers here want the red carpet rolled out for them when they arrive at the airport. Not happening anymore. The risk is too great.

Box cutters were allowed on Sept 11th. No one looked the other way. THEY WERE ALLOWABLE ITEMS. It was the airline policy of "dealing" with hijackers that allowed them to fly into buildings. Your a manager? Your just blind..............
