Even if they do bring the private companies back, the gov't will keep their hand on the till and continue to make the policy. The TSA as an agency within the gov't is not going to go anywhere.

When was the last time the gov't "deleted" an entire agency? I don't mean realigned or folded into another, I mean completely disbanded and all functions turned over to the private sector.

It has never happened to my knowledge and I seriously doubt it ever will. No, private screeners are not the answer, for they are merely the tail of the snake you so despise, the head lies within the gov't.
