The Romanos: A piece of Heaven on Earth
Introduction Wow!!! Wow!! Wow!!! Where should I start? We just came back from this paradise where my family of 4 spent 5 nights and we are still speechless about this place. First of all the resort is amazing in every single detail. From the time you enter the resort you know you are in a special place. You then get to this stunning lobby with a view of the Ionic sea and you are welcomed by the most amazing staff you will ever find in any hotel. Everyone from the valet drivers to the front desk, to the housekeeper to the guy in the pool, everyone has this genuine smile on their face showing they are happy you are there and want to make your stay even more amazing. We were upgraded to an Ionic Deluxe Suite with a private pool and when we entered the room it was jaw dropping. The room was very very modern with everything you can imagine and not imagine. The private pool was stunning and we had a hot tub inside the master bedroom with water flowing from the ceiling. Wow!!!! All restaurants were great serving all sorts of food from fine dining to quick snacks all at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was one of the best I ever had in any luxury hotel with all sorts of fresh Greek food from the local area. We spent time visiting stunning beaches close by including the famous Voidokilia beach and eating at small villages like Gialova, Pylos and Marathopolis which all have great restaurants serving fresh food. Then we would go back to the hotel and spend time at the beach and pools with the kids. The hotel has so many activities that it is hard to describe them all here. A stunning spa, indoor pool, hot tubs, gym, kids aquatic center, bowling, golf, kart racing, etc... In sum, this is the most amazing resort we ever stayed with our kids. I cannot thank enough the staff which makes this place even more magic. Again, they are just nice people that are happy to make you happy. They go above and beyond any other hotel staff ever done for us. To give an example, during a breakfast one of the managers approached us to ask how was our stay and during the conversation we mentioned we were leaving very early on the last day to drive back to Athens and we would not be able to have breakfast. During check out we were given 4 breakfast boxes for us to take in the car with us with all sorts of foods and beverages you can imagine. Again, wow, wow, wow!!!!! We will definitely consider going back to The Romanos in the near future as we already realize that it will be very hard to beat the experience we had there in any other place we decide to visit. Here is a copy and paste of my review on Trip Advisor:
