The biggest caveat is that your boarding pass must state that you can use the Pre-Check line. Even though you have a KTN and are eligible for Pre-Check, it doesn't mean you will get it 100% of the time.

What the website says. No, really. Take anything metal out of your pockets, keep your shoes & belt on, put your carry-ons on the scanner belt, walk through the metal detector, and pick up your carry-ons. It's like traveling pre-9/11.
I have a GE# that I did add to the reservation; I don't think I was issued a separate TSA Pre-Check #.
If you bought plane tickets before you were issued your KTN number, you need call in and make sure your KTN is entered by the CSR into your existing record(s).
