I didn't say otherwise.
I was commenting that those who stay due to corporate travel are getting their vacations underwritten by the company, especially if they would not be traveling or staying at high-end properties if it was on their own dime. I also didn't say there was anything wrong w/ that. Heck, I've been the beneficiary of that. But that there is a difference between someone who's a leisure traveler & is trying to eke out enough stays/get status/points & someone who can do it more easily when their company has them on the road all the time.
On a dif note. We had someone bump the merger thread in the Marriott forum asking when details would be available re: the two programs too. My understanding was that the deal between the two companies isn't even expected to close before the end of the month (and could go longer).
