Hi, I was wondering if it is still true that you CAN standby for an earlier flight as an AA elite for a domestic flight booked with BA avios? I called the EXP desk multiple times and they said it's a BA ticket so BA rules apply: no standby. I'd need to change the ticket with BA if I want to go on a different flight. Did the rules change or did I just get some bad agents?

The other thing I was hoping to do was to go to the airport early and hope that they can put me on standby (or SDC) there. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks for your help!
