I applied for, got approved, got the bonus language in the letter, and now have the online tracker for 30k/$1k spend. I applied via 'other cards you might be interested in' on Citi's website after checking to see if I was pre-approved for any cards. (I wasn't, but they offered this card below that)
I was successful in matching a 50k offer to 60k online through Citi's chat function on my last card. So, I tried that process again - 4 times. All four of the chat agents said that I would have to call the "Citi offer match phone number" of 800-321-2484.
Should I be hearing "Danger FlyerJT! Danger!"? Could this be a trap that will end up ruining my existing bonus?
I think that if you asked to be matched to the 50K after $3k spend it might
look better . That is what I would do!
Not try to get 50K for $1k spend and point that out to whomever I spoke with if, you are willing to do the extra spend.
