Actually, we entered Rio spectator while filling the form thinking that it might be just easier to get it. But then she made it tough by asking tics. We told her give a tourist visa, so she said now you can't get a tourist visa as you told us you going for Olympics. It is really madness. We also hold USA visa and are well travelers. My passport expires in 2018 but I have only 4 pages left.
I was thinking to try and apply again as tourist in case she does not recognize us. I have bought tickets from Dertour which has our names along with the name of my friend in UK on it. But it is in German and was worried that what if she claims it is not allowed and report something like fraud. She can say these tics are only for residents and we as Indians can't use. So if she creates havoc and if have power to report it as fraud and get it cancelled, then we will be in huge trouble.
I am having tough deciding how to tackle this stubborn embassy. We also traveling to Peru and Argentina and have got their visas.
