Flew VX today from DAL to SFO. I realize VX is getting swallowed by AS and will lose their 'Virginity,' but nevertheless, I thought I'd report on my experience.

Based on my experience today, if I had the choice of flying VX nonstop every week, I would.

I was seated in Main Cabin Select, which was better than First Class on any short to medium haul Delta flight, except without the wider seat.

The seat was comfortable and had enough legroom, especially for a bulkhead. The tray table design was clever with a sturdy tray table that came out of the bulkhead, not the armrest. The seat back entertainment worked well, had plenty of selection, and had a remote like the ones found in Delta One (or VS Premium Economy and Upper Class).

My favorite part was the great complimentary selection of food and drinks available to order through the seat back AVOD. I got cookies and a cheese plate, as well as craft beer. Their liquor selection looked decent with mid-shelf items like Glenfidich 12, Bombay Saphire, etc. No Woordford, though.

The service was also great. FAs were helpful and friendly. When I went to the restroom, the FA in the galley asked me if I wanted something to drink. A DL flight attendant would rarely do that in F let alone in Y.
