Things to do in Phoenix when you're..

Going to be in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area the first weekend in August. Any suggestions for things to do to kill time?

Also, can stay at the Pointe Tapatio Cliffs or the Wyndham Boulders - Any preferences? I'm HH Gold - any special treatment for tiered members?
