Yes. Be keen to hear what the outcome is, and the nature of SQ's rights. Sometimes rights allow domestic carriage as part of international ticket (eg QF allows stopovers in LAX enroute to JFK, UA before they went non stop allowed stopovers in SYD enroute to MEL, but in both cases only In conjunction with their own flights between AU and US - not other carriers even if on same ticket). Of course in AU and US there are mechanisms to take the domestic leg of international sectors (in the US it is treated as domestic sector, in AU you get a D sticker on the boarding pass.)
