My daughter recently returned to the UK from Hong Kong flying with Emirates. She had a 3 hr connection in Dubai. Unfortunately on the Dubai - Manchester flight she was told that her luggage had not made the flight but would be put on the next flight, and would be brought straight to her hotel. She landed in Manchester very early morning and she was told that her luggage would be with her by 2.00 p.m. She waited at the hotel until 2.00p.m. but no luggage turned up and as she had a 3.30 work meeting she subsequently had to go to the shops to buy a complete outfit for her meeting! Does anyone know if she
can claim from EMirates for the cost of the outfit she had to buy? Her luggage did eventually turn up after 6.00 p.m. I know there is compensation for delayed luggage but it seems to be if it is delayed for days rather than hours!

HOw would she go about claiming for this?? She did receive a reference number from Emirates!
