stimpy: Is AF or DL able to price and ticket a ST RTW that doesn't start with them as the first carrier?
First of all, I wouldn't be sure that AZ can't book it. AF has a special office that handles RTW's and only those agents can book them. But not all agents are aware that this office exists as RTW's are a pretty rare thing. So maybe try to escalate to a manager to ask if there is such a special office or desk. And I would repeat it in Italian
il giro del mondo biglietto
But I don't know of any restriction that says the ticketing carrier has to own the first leg. It can't hurt to call AF or DL and ask. The people who work those desks are ticketing experts.
