You will find my recent Ras articles more realistic - two nights by the beach in the Waldorf Astoria with no attempt to check out old hill forts! (Remember I live in London, my own house would make the list of oldest 100 houses in the US. I don't need to see a fort.)

Ben would have been proud.

Qatar gave me J flights, indirectly funded by Ras, but I doubted they would spring for a suite at the WA so I paid for my own - before claiming a 40% tax deduction of course :-)

All of the formal blogger trips I have ever been offered have sounded horrendous. Fine if you're 20 and poor so will take a free holiday and indeed like the idea of 'meeting' another young and single travel blogger. Far less attractive if you're 45, not poor and have a family.
Do bloggers sponsor other bloggers to do trips to London and the US to compare your house with our oldest houses in the US? Then can a blogger aim for US and UK credit card application related revenue all at the same time?

Have any of the non-US travel bloggers relocated to say the UAE or elsewhere to reduce the accrual of tax liabilities on income generated from blogs? It could provided better financial returns than those arising from use of a deduction on say UK taxes.
