Actually most people have been agreeing the 777s have wider seats than the 380. By BA's great new J product you mean their First Class?

Actually J gets to more or less 180, too, 180 degrees != horizontal, that's the primary difference, that the flatbed on the 777, while flat, rests at a slight angle, compared to the 380. I think the angle varies by aircraft, had a 772 recently which seemed to have a more pronounced angle than I remembered, but could've just been a bad dream, thinking I was slipping off
