If I fly across an ocean and connect on a partner Star flight, the partner flight always posts well ahead of the United flight.
To me the biggest difference is at the end of the year. I try to make sure I maximize my upgrade certificates by hit thresholds that end in 25, 50, 75 and 00. No sense falling short of an additional two GPUs and two RPUs by ending at 248,789 as an example. The system posts so slowly, especially at that time of the year, I can start to get a bit worried.
