I think they bankrupted themselves with all the compensation they were paying out, most of it to you, chrism20 I've seen it go both ways before, one they moved customers across (with reasonable notice) to non-branded cards from that same issuer, but if you look at the recent Costco setup in the US they seem to be moved customers over to a new card provider. I'd expect the former to be more likely though. Not sure how they'll handle the free night voucher side of things though, it wouldn't seem fair to not give existing customers who had been saving towards a voucher sufficient time to earn it.
