Sorry but this isn't clear by the posts above.
As mentioned by ACE Cdn, yes you have to go to the WestJet checkin counter to receive TSA Precheck. Also, go to the regular checkin line, the bag drop line will be of no use as that agent does not print BP.
It is also important to point out the functions the checkin agent is doing for you. Essentially the only way for WS checkin agent to add the KTN is to perform a check in from page one. Therefore the agent drops any previous checkin and then reenters all required information. Therefore expect the agent will require all your information. This will require both your Nexus and passport and you have to answer all the checkin questions again. It is a greater process than simply adding your KTN and getting a BP reprint.

That is correct. You have to go to a Westjet agent to add your number and print you a new boarding pass as this isn't available to do when you do online checkin yet. My work around is I book the flight on expedia and my KTN is in my profile with them so it is added automatically.
Interesting approach Ace Cdn, for clarity your KTN comes through to the WS checkin system from the expedia system. Can you checkin through the kiosk and receive the BP with TSA Precheck in the comment fields?
