And yet somehow Manila and Taipei have higher paid F demand? That HKG-TPE flight in F is among the best 1 hour F flights in the air.

I am more blown away that there's no F to/from:

Tokyo (except for one HND flight -- does JL even have an F flight...I used to enjoy 6pm NRT-HKG in F).
SYD/MEL???

Anyone have any perspectives on whats going on that's causing this?

MNL and TPE feed long haul F traffic into HKG. SIN much less so as they have a good airline themselves.
