Thanks for the all of the tips, feel free to keep them coming. We're expecting to hold the baby for the whole flight, so any upside to that will be a welcomed surprise. 6 of us are traveling plus the 9.5 month old lap-child. The plane is a 3-3-3 so I seated us in 3 rows, center section, and aisle seats for everyone. An empty middle seat is there for each set of 2 people we are going with.

I figure if one of us get an empty seat in the middle, we can move around and get a car seat in there. We also requested a bassinet, so this can all go out the window if they re-seat us in a bassinet row.
