I do have that exact luggage rack for easy unpacking, but the idea is to have someplace out of the way to store suitcases after they're unpacked and for the duration of their stay. Most of our guests (and us) stay for a minimum of 2-3 weeks and many for 2-3 months at a time. I just thought it would be a good thing to be able to shove suitcases under the bed so they weren't taking up valuable closet or floor space. The luggage rack hangs on a hook in the closet when it's not in use.

Since you seems service minded and are concerned about good things for your guests. I have another suggestion for you. Sometimes during vacation it is a very nice thing to have breakfast in bed and for that something like this would be awesome:

Almost no hotels have these rolling bed tables, I have only stayed at one place that did and it is extremely convenient and I wished more places had these!^
These are also usable when one like to use the computer in bed!
So if you are building a bed why not also build one of these to go with it?^
