I understand. I just think that for most customers of the regular full service hotels, a fridge and microwave would be so under-utilized that it would probably not make economic sense from the hotel's point of view to have them in the room.
But it would be nice to have them, if it doesn't impact the room rates

I am astutely aware of this. I always prefer to stay at a suite type hotel. However, they are not always available in an acceptable location or are overpriced because they have full kitchens and separate bedrooms. Many regular hotels do offer fridge/microwaves, and to me, it is much more important than what brand of soap is in the bathroom, etc.
