Mods, please move/merge if there's a more suitable thread for this; tried looking but didn't find anything (other than maybe the ATL thread on the DL forum).

I'm "connecting" through ATL on a MR later this week. Will be short-checking luggage to ATL and have 1:40 to grab my bag and recheck, and wanted to know how feasible this is assuming flights are on time. I do have PreCheck.

I know the AC is in T, but the AA app is showing both my inbound and outbound leaving out of D -- wondering whether this is an error or if not all AA flights actually leave out of T.

I don't fly through ATL much so while I understand that the terminals are all parallel to each other in a straight line and all connected airside, I'm wondering as to how much time it would take to go from D or T to baggage claim and back.
