Your points directly through the Hyatt hotel are separate from the credit card. You get 3x points on your credit card. They post to your Hyatt account after your statement closes. You get 5x points plus status bonus on your Hyatt account. They post to your Hyatt account within a couple of days. You get these points regardless of your payment method. However, yes if you use your Hyatt card, you get 8x total points per spending at the hotel.
