Regardless, they said it usually takes 6-8 weeks ,and I am at week 5.
If they post in the next 2 1/2 weeks , as far as I am concerned that is all that matters to me .
I never reply on Phone reps , but having the 10K points credited to my account is my goal, not being right or wrong , but being credited 10K . Plain and simple !

I have always seen the 10% rebate to reflect right away on the AA account, same time as the award booking.
if you haven't seen the rebate yet, something's wrong.
Suggest you calling up AA directly and checking with them.
If AA says 6-8 weeks, tell them it always reflects right away for others you know, and as sdsearch mentioned, its tied to your AA account, so the AA CSR desk should be able to verify right away.
