You may be right about using a Citi card , but I got an 125K award tix on Jan 27, saw no credit yet , and called Citi 2 days ago.
They said they see it pending and should post next week or so.
It's not Citi who gives the 10% bonus (capped at 10k) on AA redemptioms
, it's AA. In fact they give it whether you've got a qualifying Citi card or a qualifying Barclay card (or both). AA knows whether you have qualifying Citi card, because they use that also to keep track of other benefits like free dometic checked bag (if you don't have status), etc.
