Did you have one single award ticket or two award tickets on OZ and SQ respectively? That makes a big difference. Also, did you originally (before the delay) have a legal connection?
Cabin crew, including the leader, cannot be expected to know anything about this. It was pointless to ask them. You need to go to an OZ agent (or *A or a transfer desk for whatever handling agent OZ uses at SIN) in the SIN airport. Airport agents have lots of flexibility (and obligation) to rebook in response to disruptions on the day of travel.
