Also if you're going for elite status, try to negotiate a first-class ticket, even if you have to wait an extra hour or so. Every time I have been bumped and moved into first, I have gotten full elite credit for the new booking class. </font>
I second requesting F on a bump. I've gotten extra miles and MQM on Delta by getting a higher fare class on my rebooked flight.
Also stayed at that Holiday Inn in MoBay years ago and sorry to hear the food hasn't improved. Sent one of my underlings there on the next trip and she was robbed in her own hotel room.
