I thought the rules was not so much keeping origin and destination the same, more that you can't change a booking from one containing only oneworld airlines to one having other non-oneworld partners (or vv) without having the $150 fee assessed.
Now MH and CX are both oneworld airlines so there should no fee charged in this case, I just wanted some clarification.
