I received a letter last week which informed me that my platinum status had been renewed for another year. However, the attached membership card has the expiry date as 07/2016, which is the same as my existing card. I emailed Accor Customer Relations and this was the reply.
We received your concern regarding your Le Club Accorhotels account.
In order for your account to reach the next level or to keep your current status levels, a minimum number of points or nights should be accumulated to your account over a twelve (12) month period (365 days):
Le Club Accorhotels Silver: From 10 nights or 2,500 points earned over 365 days
Le Club Accorhotels Gold: From 30 nights or 10,000 points earned over 365 days
Le Club Accorhotels Platinum: From 60 nights or 25,000 points earned over 365 days
As soon as you reach a higher level, you keep that status for a duration of twelve months (expiration at the end of the last month). At the end of this period, your status is recalculated based on your cumulated activity over the 365 consecutive days (number of points and number of nights).
After checking, your account already accumulated 26846 points and 26 nights. Kindly note that these are calculated from 31/07/2015 to the current date (28/02/2016).
Due to this, your account already met the minimum number of nights required to keep your Platinum status. Please be advised that an updated card will be sent to the address listed on your account within 2 to 4 weeks after the validity of your current status.
Thank you for your trust and let us know if we can be of further assistance.
