So basically US-SYD is controlled by some kind of air treaty or something? US gets to have one airline fly down there; they get one airline to fly here? I guess I'm not surprised, given that we've got such arrangements with most other countries, but it still stinks. Seems like BOTH governments would want to allow more airlines to fly and reduce the price, thus promoting business and trade.
