I started wondering the same thing about the time our approvals all started requiring calls (and long ones, at that). I don't know what their criteria are for requiring a signature on a new account, but I think we'll probably take a 6+ month break before applying for any new Citi cards of any kind. That would have been normal for us anyway, if it weren't for this loophole.
Has anybody at some point in the past been required to call in for every approval, and then were able to get instant approval again at some point after that? I know I'm not the only one who has started having to call in every time - just wondering if it ever ends, and if we have any clue how/when.
