The 8 seats on a 739 is pretty common these days (also on a 738). I don't think it really indicates a swap will happen so much as UA is leaving open the possibility of it. Setting inventory to F8 A0 is just RM playing mind games with you, and is yet another reason I hate the 319.
So glad I found this thread. I was going to pull the trigger on a decent A fare BOS<>DEN for September, but suddenly the $900 r/t fare I had seen a few weeks ago jumped to nearly $1,500 -- even though FC is empty. I think this is the reason.
I'll cross my fingers that once the extra seats magically reappear, the fare will magically lower as well.
