Now Georgia is coming out with a new license plate which will be on all registered vehicles in Georgia by Autumn 2004.

While not the ugliest license plate I have ever seen, they seem to get uglier with every iteration.

Some states (Florida, Alabama and Louisiana come to mind) seem to have a plethora of variations of license plates. Meanwhile, the license plates in Europe seem to be getting more homogenized (although France went from silver characters on a black background to black characters on a yellow background). I suspect that may have to do with the European Union, but I could be wrong.

What license plate design(s) do you favor, and which do you least like?
