First off, I couldn't really find a free alternative to expert flyer so someone please jump in if there is.

First, some background, I was looking for 2 first class saver awards from 1 of 4 different airports in Hawaii to 2 different airports of return destination. I was checking every day for 2 weeks and not having any luck. Frustrated and not wanting to pay to join expertflyer I spent 15 minutes in iMacros (free edition via Firefox) and recorded a macro that would go to the aa site and perform a series of 8 different searches looking for 2 awards tickets within a specific date range. It then took screen shots and saved them, then I had a scheduler e-mail me the screen shots every hour. Within 12 hours I locked in my 2 tickets with 15 minutes worth of coding. Important to note, I was NOT multi threading and not hammering the system, in fact with the delays it took longer than if I were to do it myself manually, I just didn't want to have to sit there all day and do it every couple of hours.

If anyone is interested in the code or learning more feel free to PM me or I can post it here. It can easily be edited for other airports and date ranges, and I bet with another 15 minutes of work it could work for just about any airline

***edit*** this could literally work for anything, even checking seat availability on already booked flights. And with more advanced coding, you could bypass the screen shot and have it analyze the code and tell you if what you want is open.
