You're absolutely right. I guess that my beef is that when a single serving dish is served to you on a plate, it shouldn't require an additional plate if you actually want to eat it. People who prepare/sell/serve food need to remember the logistics; and far too often, they don't. I have the same reaction when served a sandwich which is taller than my (or any) mouth can get around, thus requiring it to be disassembled and eaten with a knife and fork.
