Has anyone tried to ask them to use the certificate for a different destination? What do they usually do in this situation?
I received a flight change notification for a BX1A reservation, where the return flight was moved up more than 2 hours, leaving a layover of more than 4 hours. I called the platinum line, was able to change to a different flight, connecting in DFW instead of MIA, with a departure date much closer to the original flight. PLT agent apparently called meeting services, who reportedly authorized the change - even though the new flights were not available in saaver inventory.
1. No harm to call and ask
2. If the answer is no, HUCA
If EXP call their line. Ive found theyve been way more liberal in changes than meeting services but YMMV.
Due to a 30 min change the EXP agent said why make you connect ill just move you to the nonstop saving us 5 hours.
