At CLT this morning, TSA precheck customers were instructed to remove laptops, liquids, papers (??) and food (??) from bags, resulting in the longest line I've ever seen (although admittedly was probably still through in 20 mins). TSA personnel were saying "TSA precheck now only means you can keep your shoes and light jackets on." Anyone else go through precheck at CLT this morning (or is this happening anywhere else)?
Was there a dedicated precheck line? I have run into this at several airports where there wasn't a security scanner dedicated to a separate precheck line, but they still identified precheck passengers. PHX and SJC come to mind (at certain checkpoints and certain times of day).
