I was just approved for the card and am leaving on Monday the 8th for the Ziva Cancun. I would like to pay for the stay with my new card and get the points, but more important to me is having the status applied to my Gold Passport account in time for the stay. Chase told me that there is no way to expedite the card, as Hyatt performs a verification on their end that takes close to 10 business days before the matter even reaches Chase. Anyone have any luck expediting card delivery? Did yall deal with Chase or Hyatt?

Status might be updated prior to card arrival. IE, theres no correlation between receiving your CC and your HGP acount updating to Platinum. Maybe I'm missing some reasoning here, but I wouldn't be too concerned with not having platinum before arriving. If it's just because of the bonus points, a simple call to HGP should solve the problem.
