But be sure to do so anonymously! Personally, I wouldn't think twice about buying a roundtrip ticket to save big over the cost of a one-way with the intent to discard the return portion. If you really are concerned, there are ways to cover-up the dirty deed such as politely calling the airline prior to the time of your return flight and letting them know that you won't be using the ticket because of something sympathetic like a family emergency.
