Never heard of Discover (and work in retail so probably have a higher awareness of this sort of thing than most). Unless it uses Visa or MasterCard you will have no luck at all.

As someone who also works in retail, not the biggest chain compared some in the UK but still. We do take Discover but not Amex and I know a lot of customers want to use their BA Amex. Discover just did (last year) a large push to raise the awareness amongst merchants of who can accept Discover. We do take Discover but I've never seen a card being offered by a customer.
