Not detergent, but when I go the VRBO/AirBnB route I'll often pack some ground coffee so I don't need to hit the grocery store and buy a big bag for a day or two. I just put some into a ziploc freezer bag and throw in it my luggage either checked or carryon. Never had a problem with leakage.
