I have an extra account that I don't care if I lose - but I can't lose my joint checking (wife will be PISSED!). Any DPs on what happens if you have multiple accounts?
Maybe it's worth it for me to open a BoA account and just deposit MOs there.
When Chase shuts you down for depositing money orders, they close all of your accounts. I haven't seen data points regarding joint checking accounts, but I would not expect them to stay open either. I recommend only depositing MO at a bank at which you are willing to lose all of your accounts.
