richard, you were actually correct in your original thought — there indeed is also a Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.

Blue Bell, located within the Philadelphia metropolitan area north of Philadelphia near Norristown, is virtually due east of Blue Ball, which is in Pennsylvania Amish country.

Both towns are approximately 40 miles apart from each other.
