So I skipped my overnight layover at the Hilton Fashion District due to the weather at NYC and flew directly to GIG/GRU thanks to an early arrival on AA107, consequently missed the deadline to cancel the booking at Hilton Fashion District soit was shocking to get the email bill/folio from Hotel including a mini bar charge..still find it unbelievable that this can happen. I am not sure if it is some one at AA (we have to provide stay details beforehand as a prerequisite to enter the USA) or someone at the property. Feels terrible and wonder if anyone else has experienced this before and what possible resolution should be for this kind of a situation. I will definitely call my card company to reverse this charge but this whole episodes troubles me a lot.
